I am not Turkish, have only been to Turkey once and loved it. I am also interested in following currents in Turkish politics and culture. I'd like to get a read on people's thoughts regarding recent events in Turkey with the Presidential candidate withdrawing, changes to the constitution and the army's threat to potentially overthrow the democratically elected government. Personally i don't understand how the secular parties can do what they're doing and still claim to be in favor of democracy.

I think I'm going to Italy in a few weeks. I've been there a few times already, but I've only seen Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Assisi. Any suggestions on where to go this time??? Do you know of any interesting cities in Italy, or the surrounding countries?????? I'd really appreciate some input; we're still in the planning process, and I'd love to see some new places.

Hey guys I ran across this very interesting and amusing study that I wanted to share with everyone. The study, published in the Archives of Surgery (February, 2007), found that the surgeons in their study who regularly played video games in the past for greater than 3 hours per week made 37% fewer errors during surgical drills, were 27% faster, and scored 42% better overall than participants who had never played video games. I am moving to the Detroit area in August. I am thinking about buying. I will be working downtown so I am thinking about buying in the Grosse Pointes. Any suggestions? I have family in Bloomfield Hills and Troy but I hear that the commute to downtown from these burns can be a pain. My concern is buying and then having trouble selling in case I end up moving in a couple of years. I welcome any comments on areas I should look into and if I should even consider the Grosse Pointe area.
