  • I guess I could have added this to my other journal but I forgot. What in the world do you eat after a workout? I'm so confused. There are too many websites and too many different suggestions. I had a protein bar before my boot camp and after...I just didn't feel hungry enough to eat so I just ate an apple (actually that's all there was to eat...fridge is empty).

  • I recently joined a new gym, and signed myself up for a "bikini boot camp"....and no, we don't have to wear bikinis! Today was my first day of the boot camp. It's going to be Tuesdays and Fridays at 8am and it is outside at various parks in the city. Man alive, it was hot! It was already 20C (sorry I don't know Farenheit) when we got started. I did *okay*, not the greatest when we did the circuit. She made us run up a hill four bloody times...I swear it was the steepest hill she could find. I did... Read More

  • Purity of mind (Gatha's II, chapter 3) Hazrat Inayat Khan Purity of mind requires the destroying of all bad impressions which are already collected there or which the mind receives instantly. One can destroy these impressions by five ways, and the way is adopted according to the impression one has to destroy. Some impressions want to be washed off from the mind; some require to be erased from the surface of the mind; some want to be shaken off like dust from the clothes; some require burning like the wood... • Azmi Bishara Under Israeli Law Anyone Can be Defined as a "Foreign Agent" I am a Palestinian from Nazareth, a citizen of Israel and was, until last month, a member of the Israeli parliament. But now, in an ironic twist reminiscent of France's Dreyfus affair--in which a French Jew was accused of disloyalty to the state--the government of Israel is accusing me of aiding the enemy during Israel's failed war against Lebanon in July. Israeli police apparently suspect me of passing information to a foreign... Read More

  • From 'Integrity in Spirituality', message by Hidayat Inayat Khan. The Sufi Message Sufism is neither a new religion nor a cult, neither a doctrine nor a dogmatic institution. Esoteric schools can be traced as far back as the time of Abraham, and even earlier. In Arabia, esoteric schools were known for their metaphysical teaching. In Persia, literature, poetry and music were the sour... Read More
