For those of you who care about the environment, I've been looking to create a volunteer group to take part in activities such as clean ups and planting trees in the South Jersey/Philly area. These events would typically take place on weekends and not only would you be making the world a better place, but you would also meet other people with similar interests.
Please express your interest by replying to this journal and we'll see if we can set up an event, InshAllah!

Folks, let?s unwind and join together in celebrating the wonders of (almost) Spring! In this spirit, please join me at a Muslim Professionals Gathering to take place at:
Old Man Rafferty?s Restaurant
106 Albany Street
New Brunswick, NJ 08901
732-846-6153 www.oldmanraffertys.com
I think you guys will really like this place. It is tried and tested many times over. Relaxing, with great comfort food and located directly in the heart of New Brunswick (a few yards from the train station), it is an excellent venue for a relaxed dinner. The menu selection is pretty extensive as well. Check out the menu selections on the restaurant's site; hope you like the offerings.
Please target spending approx. $45 or so per person. We will split the total amount of the bill evenly by the number of attendants and each person will then be responsible for paying his/her share; the restaurant accepts cash and major credit cards.
Old Man Rafferty?s is conveniently located and accessible via car or train, from NYC, PA or anywhere within NJ; it is located in downtown New Brunswick, NJ, in central Jersey (please see restaurant website for precise directions).
EVENT DATE & TIME:
Friday, March 14, 2008 at 7:00pm sharp
DRESS CODE:
Casual nice/semi-casual
RSVP by March 9, 2008 by indicating if you will be coming and who you plan to bring with you (if anyone at all) by e-mailing me at my Naseeb e-mail or, preferably, e-mailing me at [email protected]
*No backing out last minute please* It is inconsiderate, rude and leaves a bad lasting impression. I would greatly appreciate it if you RSVP only if you are committed to attending.
Note that I have to book a table for us and make all necessary arrangements given the exact number of people who will be attending hence it is very important that I get an accurate head count. Thanks so much for your cooperation in this regard.
I will hold a drawing for a surprise gift so folks, please be sure to bring plenty of business cards not just for networking purposes but for the drawing as well.
***Thanks for your attention to this e-mail. Let?s make this shindig happen!*** (A)
Kindest Regards,
Monazza

Please join me on February 15 for an after-work Muslim Professionals dinner gathering to close out the work week on a relaxing note!
7 Hills of Istanbul (Turkish cuisine)
441 Raritan Avenue
Highland Park, NJ 08904
732-777-9711 www.7hillsofistanbul.com
This is a wonderful, tried-and-tested restaurant with excellent halal food that will leave you wanting more. Please check out their menu on the restaurant?s website to get an idea of the cuisine. The menu prices are in the medium $ range. I would approximate spending about $50-ish each considering sodas, appetizers, entrees, dessert and tea/coffee (there may be a fixed menu if we have a large enough group so stay tuned for further notification regarding this). We will split the total bill by the number of attendees and then each attendee will be responsible for paying his/her own share.
7 Hills of Istanbul is very conveniently located within 2 miles of downtown New Brunswick. Please contact the restaurant directly in advance for precise directions.
