I just got back from this shawarma joint in Brighton with a few friends, Reef Cafe I think. Well it was amazing plus it happened to be halal which was great. I'm near Porter Sq so going there whenever I want something halal would get annoying. A friend mentioned a shawarma place in Central Sq, Felafel Palace I think she said.
