Cambridge Area Food


I just got back from this shawarma joint in Brighton with a few friends, Reef Cafe I think. Well it was amazing plus it happened to be halal which was great. I'm near Porter Sq so going there whenever I want something halal would get annoying. A friend mentioned a shawarma place in Central Sq, Felafel Palace I think she said. Well she doesn't know if it's halal though, anybody have any idea?

Plus, any other good halal places on the north side of the river? I went to the Afghani place on Mass Ave near Porter, Ali Baba Tandoor, wasn't impressed with the food, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, shrug.

There's a halal Indian restaurant in Medford Sq., but I don't remember the name.

No, I dont think they are halal...but the food is very good.

No, I will have to look it up on Zabiha.com It is halal. We had an Iftari there last Ramzaan. I think its in Cambridge or someplace closeby.

There's also Jasmine Shak mentioned. Its close to where she works.

There is a halal Persian restaurant but I can never remmber the name. I will have to find out and let u know.

Grain and Salt is great. I go there alot....love their Murgh Makhani.

They actually have halal desi, Chinese and American food. I only tried one Chinese dish and didn't like it but their desi dishes are pretty good. They have good kabobs too.

Shak and I go there often...they know us by our names now :P
