Here's a new group I made for people in my boat..

Single girls (and guys) looking for a significant other, the ways of going about it, the difficulties encountered and so on.

I feel it's especially relevant for converts/reverts, but of course, anyone can join.

If you fit the bill, or have advice, please join!

Topics may include:

* Things to look for in a potential spouse
* Warning signs of a greencard/visa seeker
* Marriage traditions/customs
* Cultural adjustment/living overseas
* Cross cultural relationships
* Internet relationships
* Using a wali
* Etc.

Enjoy!

Salaam to all,

Well, :) ladies and gents the following is based upon what I've seen over the past 4 years.

1. Be a Regular Naseeb user.

2. Be an Active user and village member. People will get to know you if you communicate with them. There are most active and top rated journals in which you can post comments in response to journal entries and/or in response of someone's else comments or questions.

3. How to be an Active Naseeb Member?
Now and then, post a question or article in this village or another 'alive' village in which regular interactions occur.

Take a look on how two couples got to know each other through villages activities and other types of interactions.

Chotipagli & Jamal were active members of the GetMarried, Thinkville, London New Crew and other villages...

They got to know each other through numerous interactions.

They were already but became even more aware of their mutual liking when they met for the first time at an outing organised by the London New Crew. Shortly after their first encounter they got engaged then married. You will find their story on Naseeb home page.

(A) Uzma & Inspirational:
They met on Naseeb as well. They liked, got to know each other and shared the same circle of friends. They decided to engage in early 2008 and got married just before the summer 2008.

Villagers if you have Caprischi el messagio!....
we become regular and get to know each other!

I am awaiting your new village articles (VEs) and Qs/Answers entries. Go on it takes less than mins to post something here P:

Mandatory pre-marital medical check-ups will go into effect in Qatar starting December 13, Gulf Times has reported.

Couples will undergo a series of tests for infectious diseases including:
-HIV,
- Hepatitis and
-genetic and hereditary ailments to prevent them from giving birth to children with complicated diseases, deformities or abnormalities.

These check-ups are already mandatory in France.

Do you have to undergo these medical check-ups in your country?

To be beautiful is to express joyful gratitude for all that we receive.

He who can quicken the feeling of another to joy or to gratitude, by that much he adds to his own life.

Shak?r (In Arabic, one of the 99 beautiful names of God) denotes appreciation, gratitude or praise for some particular favor.

Respect, gratitude, sincerity, faithfulness, patience, endurance, all these qualities begin to show in the character of that man.

If you do not yet feel that wondrous Divine Presence deep within, then (for the time being) simply strive to allow your life to be centered around great ideals such as loving-kindness, generosity, compassion, gratitude, and joyfulness. Whenever anything else arises, calmly observe whatever has arisen without undue reaction, and return as quickly as possible to embodying those great ideals such as loving-kindness, generosity, compassion, gratitude and joyfulness.

In this simple manner, one can gradually begin to reprogram the sub-conscious mind, and thereby more fully live in harmony with the Divine Presence.

In the face of all the changes which are inevitable, we should take time to notice, and be thankful for, everything in our life which is pleasing and comforting.

Oh, such splendid gifts we are given, and so often we take them for granted, taking little or no notice. To have eyesight, to have arms or legs, to have a friend...
These too shall pass, so take time to rejoice for all that we are privileged to enjoy in the present moment. In some other moment, all of this will be gone. Celebrate, sing your song, dance your dance, and take time in each present moment to offer sincere thoughts of reverence, awe, and gratefulness.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Don't Just Jump in!

It is most important, too, not to just jump at the first one who comes along with a proposal!

You are keen to be married, yes. But you have waited all this time, so wait just some time so you can be sure about your choice.

1.Do you want a marriage, or do you want a good marriage?

2.Do you just want a wife or a husband, or do want a wife or a husband you can delight in and be proud of?

Remember that this person will be the father or the mother of your child(ren). He or she will be the one you will care for, for the rest of your life.

Age difference between partners

Recently, I was reading a JE and I came across the following comments:

1. I can't marry someone older than me because people will give me weird stares.

2. I can't marry someone older than me because people will think that our couple is like daughter and father.

3. I'm 35, I can't marry a young woman who is 25 because young women aged 25 are immature!

4. The age difference should not be more than 8-10 years./ 10-15 years.

....IA, I'll add other comments as they come along.

My questions are:

A) Do you marry to please the society we live in?

or

B) Do you marry to please yourself and partner and to be happy together?
