Salaams all! I'm so excited that I discovered this site/Village! So I'm a huge Habitat volunteer. I've gone down several times to the Hurricane Katrina areas to volunteer with the re-building efforts. I was really moved by the presence of so many people, from all over, wanting to help. (I think last year when I went, the ratio of the volunteer population: local population was 2:1).
