At the time, desi beauty salons (complete with little piercing 'guns' - ouch!) and tatoo parlours (definitely not me!) were my only options. I just wanted to let you know that I FINALLY found a decent place!!! At the MERLE NORMAN Salon in Brantford, they use a quick and simple piercing technique. It's located in Lynden Park Mall and they charge $40. Hope this info helps others! :)

Care to share your best books on Islam? For Muslims in the West I like "Koran for Dummies" (Sohaib Sultan). Covers verses misrepresented in the press, and explains them in a way the average American can understand. Book is a little lengthy though, but useful reading.
