Geagea back to court for high treason

The first session to look into the suit brought against Samir Geagea of the Lebanese forces accusing him of treason after handing over Lebanese detainees to Israel in 1990. The suit was brought by five released detainees from Israeli jails. Sources told Al-Manar channel that Geagea's lawyer informed him of the timing of the session and that he can only represent the defendant for one session only, according to panel law. The former detainees' attorney May Khansa has prepared a compact file for the case including all necessary evidence and documents to support the case which could lead Geagea to the gallows if the court found him guilty. Khansa said that she will go through this case until the very end, despite all kinds of threats she's receiving.
