  • I would like to solicit a few thoughts and criticisms of my reasoning on God and eternity as follows: To God, past, present, and future are all one coherent actuality. As far as God is concerned, everything, even the Day of Judgment, has already happened and finished. In fact, as paradoxical as it may seem, eternity has already finished in God?s mind for to claim that God does not know the events past point X in eternity is to claim that God does not know the future or that He is not omniscient. Any tho... Read More

That's true. Thats why in some verses of the quran Allah (swt) refers to things as if they've already happened before they actually occur by using the past tense. ...
    February 21, 2007 at 7:08pm
Even if the past tense is assumed to be a poetic reference, I would think that it is reasonable to expect that a poetic flow of the verses using the future tense could just as e...

  • This case is changing to take a highly politicized political propaganda. The case now is changing to fit the sectarian division that is being imposed in every corner on the Iraqis themselves including their values and honor. I watched the girl when she first appeared on TV. To her the case wasn?t about being a Sunni victim at all! However, the fact is, she is sunni. Her real motive is to uncover the criminals who are allowed to rule the country under the sectarian umbrella who claim to be Muslims. I was even ... Read More

  • Reflections on the Subjects of Philosophy, Psychology and Mysticism in the Teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan by Hidayat Inayat-Khan Consciously or unconsciously we call the circumstances which make us what we are. There is an individual inclination and there is a Divine plan, and these meet at the level of our ideal. It is with the power of our free will and our understanding of the Divine plan that life's purpose is fulfilled.

  • A good friend of mine was recently undergoing some serious medical tests and it made me think of my own mortality. What would I do if I knew that I only had 6 months to live? Who would I call? Would I do the things I always wanted to do? Just stay home and cry all day? Pray more? Spend all of my money? Give it all away to my family or particular causes? What would you do with 6 months to live?
