  • (2) Michgan vs (1) OSU, Nov 18th 2006 Why it is more than just a game? Is probably the only REAL sport left with all the $$$s pouring out of professional sports. Michigan-Ohio State is one of college football's storied rivalries. Their annual battle usually decides the Big Ten title. Bragging rights always are on the line. The stakes are even higher this time. A perfect regular season and a trip to Glendale goes to the winner when No. 1 Ohio State hosts No. 2 Michigan on Saturday (ABC, 3:30 p.m. ET).

  • Not sure if you guys have heard of this yet, but felt the need to post it just in case. A UCLA student on Nov 14th was tasered atleast 4 times for not showing a student I.D. while he was at university library. Another kid there had a camera phone and taped the whole thing. You can hear the guy, after getting tasered the first time, screaming that he was sick, but the cops kept telling him to get up... and people around kept telling them to stop!! It will make you sooo mad!! Anyway here is the link if you ar... Read More

  • Your divine mate already exists. You are being prepared to meet one another. Through your many growth experiences, and the purpose etched in your soul, the day will come when you will meet face-to-face. It will be crystal clear that this person is the right one. She will not need fixing. He will not require work. You will be touched in a place in your heart and soul that until that divine day, has been untouched. As you allow yourself to accept the reality that your divine mate exists, it will unfold as reality ... Read More

  • My friend and neighbour has asked me for advice. She lives an hour or so away from her parents and has met a nice man, she's known him for a while now - he's decent, sincere and Muslim and talking of marriage, not dating. He's also of African descent, ie. black. We know for a fact her parents will have a problem with the last bit; even though there is nothing wrong with the man, she knows this will cause a major rift (of the disowning type) in her family. I've pointed out her grandmother is Malaysian, but i... Read More

  • hello? in UCL

Hello fellow UCL people. A bit quiet here.... Did any of you go to your graduations? Don't bother. They show their promo video that you see when you come to your open day..yes the one with the dancing girls! It was mortifying and embarrassing. I couldn't stop laughing. On top of that after paying a gazillion to study there (no student loan for masters students) they kept reminding us not to 'forget' them and 'give back'...i.e. give them more money. Shameless! The only thing good about it was the T-shir... Read More

  • Salam everyone- I have a non-muslim friend who is confused about religion and is wanting to learn more about Islam. She has started to question a lot of things in Christianity and wants to read more about Islam, and she asked me to recommend something that was good to read, direct, not full of fluff. Can anyone recommend a good book for someone wanting to learn about Islam?

Read More
