Death Toll on the Rise The heavy clashes between the Lebanese troops and the militants based in the Nahr el-Bared Palestinian refugee camp continued Monday a day after bloody clashes left at least 50 people dead. The troops exchanged artillery and machinegun fire with the extremists, entrenched in the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr Al-Bared near the Lebanese northern coastal city of Tripoli. Explosion near East Beirut shopping mall. An explosion was heard in eastern Beirut late on Sunday, and a security source said an explosive device had detonated near a shopping mall.
