Hezbollah, Amal, FPM condemn attacks on army
Hezbollah condemned any attack by any group against the Lebanese army and security forces as an attempt to destabilize the country. In a statement Hezbollah praised the Lebanese army for playing the significant role of preserving internal peace and stressed the importance of protecting the army's role and stature.
The statement also called for neutralizing civilians whether Lebanese or Palestinians regardless of the hard circumstances.
Hezbollah added: "We are sensing an attempt to drag the Lebanese army into this bloody conflict that might not end easily, for projects and ends that have become well known. We are also hearing calls for further escalation and fighting, what would ultimately lead to more chaos and to a generalization of conflicts in Lebanon." The statement urged concerned parties to hem in the fighting and seek a political solution to end the ongoing crisis; something that the ruling bloc is responsible for.

Meanwhile, the head of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Michel Aoun held the ruling bloc responsible for what took place "in this black day" and accused it of having previous knowledge about what is taking place in the north. In his statement, Aoun said that "we have warned this authority against letting this danger exacerbate, but in vain." Aoun also said that the only serious solution for all ongoing crises is for this current government to leave. The former army general offered condolences to the families of the Lebanese army martyrs.
