  • Things that you should never say to a woman during an argument: 10- Don't you have some laundry to do or something? 9- Aww, you are so cute when you get all ticked off. 8- You're just upset because your a** is beginning to spread. 7- Wait a minute -- I get it. What time of the month is it? 6- You're sure you don't want to consult the great Oprah on this one? 5- Sorry, I was just picturing you naked. 4- Whoa, time out. Football is on. 3- Looks like someone had an extra bowl of bitch flakes this morning!... Read More

  • Olmert's Testimony to Winograd The Real Goal of Israel's War on Lebanon By JONATHAN COOK Nazareth. Israel's supposedly "defensive" assault on Hizbullah last summer, in which more than 1,000 Lebanese civilians were killed in a massive aerial bombardment that ended with Israel littering the country's south with cluster bombs, was cast in a definitively different light last week by Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert. His leaked testimony to the Winograd Committee -- investigating the government's failu... Read More

Six members of the group are in custody, some of them nationals of once-dominant neighbour Syria, and all have confessed to their part in the February 13 bombings which killed three people and wounded 18 in a mountainous Christian area northeast of Beirut, the official said. Another two members of the cell of the Fatah-Islam group are still at ... Read More

  • Wait for the pic... I made an upside pineapple cake (from scratch) yesterday , I was horrified at what a difficult time I had making it. I never had a knack for making dessert. I'm assuming it's probably because I don't have much of a sweet tooth. But, this little adventure I embarked on yesterday was a total nightmare. I could not find the canned cherries that go in the center of each pineapple slice so picked them out of the can of mixed fruit cocktail and well only found 4 halves (as you can see in the pi... • From director Pradeep Sarkar--who previously made his movie Parineeta under the Vidhu Vinodh banner--is now making his second venture under the Yash Raj banner. The lead roles in this movie are being played by Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bacchan (these roles were initially offered to Vidya Balan and Saif but both were unable to accept the offer). The movie will also star Konkona Sen Sharma (one of Bollywood's finest actors IMO) and Kunal Kapoor. Should be a slammin movie.

  • Reflections on the Subjects of Philosophy, Psychology and Mysticism in the Teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan by Hidayat Inayat-Khan ----------------------- What gives one the inclination to seek for happiness is the feeling of having lost something, but when searching for it within oneself, one discovers that it had never really been lost, as long as one is prepared to offer the fruits of one's realization to others.

It does not come from book learning or prayer or asceticism or from change in regimen or vain breathing exercises. It comes only through the grasping of life. And how is life grasped? Either through actual pain and suffering, or worldly experience, or inner awakenin... Read More

  • Are niqabs and hijabs just bits of cloth? Article, The Times, Dec 05 2006 I like public meetings. Thirty years ago in Britain it seemed axiomatic that mass media had killed them off, and that nobody would venture out on a foggy evening to sit on a hard chair when they could get ministers and stars piped to their living room. Henceforth, it seemed, public conversation would be conducted by an elite of professional controversialists, with token audiences of ?ordinary? people. Yet what is this? People sti... Read More
