Reflections on the Subjects of Philosophy, Psychology and Mysticism in the Teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan by Hidayat Inayat-Khan The true task to be accomplished on the inner path is the forgetting of oneself while at the same time harmonizing with all, meeting all at their own level, and speaking to all in their own language, answering the laughter of a friend with a smile, and the pain of another with sorrow. =============

Al-Manar special report ? Ahmad Ammar ? it seems that real altruism would be weeded out of any population, even a family one, damn quick. Altruism, as other virtues, only relate to humans. so you can't claim social insects or loyal dogs as altruists. and, you know, know that i think about it, i beleive altruism has indeed been weeded out of the population.

The Great Debate: How many Darwinists does it take to screw in a light bulb? Charles Darwin: None. But if it could be demonstrated that the bulb entered the socket without a series of gradual, clockwise turns, my theory would absolutely break down. Generic 1: None. Time and chance are sufficient. Eventually it is inevitable that the bulb will be in the socket. Say, in a billion years. Generic 2: None. The quintessentially non-random process of natural selection is sufficient. Those objects capab... Read More
