  • For all you single moms out there I take my toopi off to you. Working a full time job, raising kids, and taking the time to take your kids to games and stuff it takes a lot to do all that, you ladies are truely a role model. Now that I am a single dad I am having to do everything you single moms have been doing all this time. It has not been easy but I am doing the best I can. The toughest part for me as a single dad, is to figure out that to make for dinner. I hope that I can keep it up.

Read More

  • GATHA: There is a symbolical picture known in the philosophical world of China. TASSAWUF: That is to say, "known by sages." No doubt sages of all countries have used symbology, but in china we have the most perfect records. These records have been preserved for us in the simplest forms in the hexagrams. While the I Ching is not a part of Sufi studies, it undoubtedly belongs to universal occultism. In the new age, the wisdom of all peoples can be utilized, expounded and coalesced in the integrational fashion ... Read More

  • Bowl of Saki for March 22 THERE IS ONE TEACHER, GOD HIMSELF; WE ARE ALL HIS PUPILS.--Hazrat Inayat Khan Commentary by Hazrat Samuel L. Lewis (Sufi Ahmed Murad Chisti): Knowledge is not the fruit of the mind; knowledge comes when mind itself is the fruit of the tree of knowledge. It is not particular names and forms which constitute knowledge but the successful grasping of affairs through the living intelligence, which is the very essence of ourselves. And what is this intelligence? It is the Sp... Read More

  • Maybe the developers will notice now: 1) In Internet Explorer, 95% percent of webpages, this websites makes CPU consumption 100% 2) Default avatars pictures are BORING. 3) Usability = 0 4) How come the most active village usually has only 1 member? WTF? Hello? lol. gfg. 5) Ok what else. Everything is flash based. Firefox blocks the popups, IE blocks their popups. Get some programming done where the default settings of these browsers dont block popups, MF's. I swear. 6) Can this comment box be a... Read More

  • Those are practical and useful for the Converts and a refresher for every one. The Masjid's functions and etiquette: a) Congregational Prayers: Islam has made performing the prayer in congregation one of the most important duties of a Muslim. Abdullah Ibn Umar narrated that the Prophet (swt) said: ?Prayer in congregation is better than prayer performed individually by twenty-seven degrees.? (Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim). In addition, prayer performed in larger congregations and more distant... Read More

  • A young man was walking through a supermarket to pick up a few things when he noticed an old lady following him around. Thinking nothing of it, he ignored her and continued on. Finally he went to the checkout line, but she got in front of him. "Pardon me," she said, "I'm sorry if my staring at you has made you feel uncomfortable. It's just that you look just like my son, who I haven't seen in a long time." "That's a shame," replied the young man, "is there anything I can do for you?" "Yes," she said, "a... Read More

  • 1. Hi. This is John: If you are the phone company, I already sent the money. If you are my parents, please send money. If you are my bank, you didn't lend me enough money. If you are my friends, you owe me money. If you are a female, don't worry, I have LOTS of money. 2. A is for academics, B is for beer. One of those reasons is why we're not here. So, leave a message. 3. Hi. Now YOU say something. 4. Hi. I'm probably home, I'm just avoiding someone I don't like. Leave me a message, and if I don't ca... Read More

  • So I am going to Prague with my family in May and don't know what area of town we should stay in. Wenceles Square, Old Town, near the Castle? Any suggestions??

  • Why some people accept and some do not accept the celebration of the prophet (saw)? Praise be to Allah. There is nothing in the Qur?an to say that we should celebrate the Mawlid or Birthday of the Prophet (saw). The Prophet (pbuh) himself did not do this or command anyone to do it, either during his lifetime or after his death. Indeed, he told them not to exaggerate about him as the Christians had exaggerated about Jesus (upon whom be peace). He said: ?Do not exaggerate about me as the Christians exagger... Read More

    March 21, 2008 at 10:41am
I agree. But it's not a matter of someone's personal agreement/disagreement, since it has to do with Islam and 'Ibada, it should be a matter deduced from the Qur'an & the Sunnah...

  • The Masjid is the fortress of faith; the guardian of virtues; the home of the pious; the meeting place of Muslims; the centre of consultation and mutual advice, and the first school from which the Muslim graduates. The Masjid provides relief and respite to the needy and the distressed. The Masjid symbolises Islamic monotheism and the unity of the Muslim Ummah. The Masjid has certain functions and etiquette which must be taken into consideration when attending it: a) Congregational Prayers b) Entering a... Read More
