Twas the night before Christmas and out on the street, Nothing was moving not even a jeep. All was still with nothing in sight And then what to my wondering eye did I see, But a Mustang SVT alone at the light. The moonlight glistened off my wing, oh so gay. My import was ready to show him the way. I had NOS and a Turbo on my tiny motor, I would beat that stang with it?s twin screw supercharger. I pulled along side and revved up with a fart and Pointed to the wing on my gay shopping cart. Th... Read More

Salam & hi everyone, I'm interested in reading some books on history. Basically I want to understand what was going on in the world in terms of wars, revolutions etc in the time before the death of Prophet Isa a.s. So basically European & Middle-Eastern history. I usually read novels so interesting novels in that time period would be good as well. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Asalaamualekum. I just wanted everyone to know about an upcoming conference in Chicago on Apr 13-15th for Physician-Scientists (and even just Physicians). The APSA (American Physician Scientist Association) is hosting this conference which has a pretty interesting line-up of speakers, including Dr. Vinay Kumar (the co-author of the most widely used pathology text book in medical schools). I think early registration is officially over, but late registration is $50, and more information can be found here: ht... Read More

Islam and the Aim of Life At every age of our lives (youthful, adults years, then later in our lives, our elderly years), we go through Phases that won't stop until we die. So we could say that we are always in a state of Transition between one phase and the next. Sometimes, we get caught up in just being able to deal with life and all the continual changes and challenges so that we miss out on actually living life. At other times, we get caught up in the trivial things in life and turn a blind ... Read More

We Take a look at the world around us and we see the natural order of life completely disturbed. Everything that brings harmony and peace into this world has been knocked around, distorted and even destroyed so that mankind is scrambling as it comes to its collective senses to understand it all and keep things going with any semblance of order. Nations, with all of today's information, statistics, and general understanding of the consequences of foolish behaviour, should learn to respect the soil beneath... Read More

Reflections on the Subjects of Philosophy, Psychology and Mysticism in the Teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan by Hidayat Inayat-Khan ----------------------- The reason for the condition of unsatisfied desire is that a momentary desire is limited, whereas the power of desire is unlimited, and as such, is much greater than any possible object of desire.

Bowl of Saki for March 26 MAN IS CLOSER TO GOD THAN THE FISHES ARE TO THE OCEAN.--Hazrat Inayat Khan Commentary by Hazrat Samuel L. Lewis: Now the fishes are in the ocean but the ocean is not in the fish except in a certain sense. The fish have bones, muscles, etc., which are of more solid materials than the ocean. But all things are of God, the material of which man is formed, the akesha which provides the substance and food for the intellect, the stream of light which is the essence of heart, and th... Sitting in a hot bath makes men infertile. *: Your granny has been saying it for years, but now it seems that sitting in a baking hot bath, jaccuzis can indeed damage men's fertility. A 3-year study of infertile men found that wallowing in hot water may be the reason behind their infertility. 5 of the 11 men tested saw their fertility soar after they ceased exposing themselves to ?wet heat?, or water that is hotter than body temperature, researchers from the University of California in San Francisco fou... An informative paper on limitations of reductionism and ensuing adverse consequences in immunology and in biomedical research such as drug and vaccine development. Given unfinished symphony of the budding stages of molecular biology and growing ineffectiveness of the reductionist approach in accounting for biological specified complexity, evolutionary theory has apparently rushed too far, too soon in promoting a defenseless paradigm. The author proposes that ?hat are needed are new experimental techniques... Read More
