The tracks that brought me closer to the band, 'TOOL' were 'Laturalus' and 'Schism'.. and to this day these 2 tracks are the best in my opinion that i have heard around in any rock band.. hands down to the new album as that is one piece of 'art'!

anyone got any comments of the new album.. post it!!

Sober is an awesome song but i think Opiate from there first album drew me in and Bottom kept me going then Aenima blew me away.

I listen to there first few albums more then the newer ones. But, I do love all their albums.

I was actually luck enough to go to APC and Tool concerts. Just amazing performances. If i wasn't so broke, i could of seem them again this past winter =(

"Sober" drew me in when I was in the 4th grade.

I think Schism was the song that first drew me to Tool. To anyone who thinks Tool or metal in general is all about anger or morbidity, then this song gives lie to that. The journey that is Laterulas (the album) is an incredible inspiration. 10,000 days is very different. There was a triumphalist arc in the previous album which plateaued with the trilogy at the end but this hasn't been continued in the new work. I can't complain though, most of the tracks are incredible and if they play 'wings' when I see them again November then I'll be, well, 'as high as wave' at the very least.

TOOL "SCHISM" DVD
Some of you having been emailing about the "Schism" DVD that's being
advertised on several websites with a release date of December 20th. To
answer your questions as to whether or not I can confirm this, the answer is
that, while I can't confirm that EXACT date, the plan is to release a DVD
featuring the videos for Schism and Parabol/Parabola with added extras (more
details later) sometime in DECEMBER of this year. So, the December 20th date
looks pretty good for the Sam Goody's type chains, and when more specifis
become available to me, I'll post this additional info in the news section.
PLEASE NOTE that this is NOT the (much anticipated) Tool live DVD, which
will be released at some point, although exactly when is still a great
unknown.

I've only seen Tool. I really wanna see APC. The Tool concert was by far my favorite of all the concerts I've ever seen. The imagery was amazing. And I loved how they just randomly strummed the guitars in the beginning and bam open with Sober. You hear singing, BUT, no Maynard in site. It's not til the bridge of the song does a curtain drop and the man, the myth, the legend is finally revealed.

It was good times.

September 2007, Chicago IL. Amazing Show they played the whole set from the new CD as well as some oldies but goodies. I came out smiling like a fool and slightly dizzy from all the pot smoke in the air. oh yeah and they had old nurses too.

Yeah, I'm betting APC are finished. They've completely lost their base after eMotive. I'm going to see Tool again in November at Wembley Arena. I can't fault their performance, but their rigidity in following the set list in their recent tour was a bit poor.

I saw Tool for the first time during their, and I've also got tickets for the Detroit show of the upcoming US arena tour next month. By chance, anyone else here going to that one?

They put on a show that has to be seen to be believed. I've been to many concerts, but that Tool show probably takes the cake as my favorite. The venue's acoustics, the imagery, the tight and robust performance --- all 4 members in top form.

I would love to see APC, assuming they even perform again. Supposedly Maynard said that they are "done". Anyone got any info on that?
