Assalamu Alaikum! I too, like Nussie are a trained Nursery Nurse and have been for many years. I am about to complete a degree in Early Childhood Studies and am passionate about the Early Years.
Unfortunately I was made redundant from a private Muslim school over a year ago so I decided to go for a career change.

Welcome to my two star pupils to the right and left of me... JayKay99 and Zia_Manchester...

Guys what was the funniest thing a pupil did today?

Mine is that when I was doing salat, I noticed from the corner of my eye that S (the boy I do 1-2-1 with) had a pair of scissors and was aiming for his hair...

What did I do?

I let him carry on of course till I had finished! as soon as I was done he got in first before I could open my mouth and say anything about him cutting his hair...

"I had to do it Miss Hussain, there was this really big NIT hanging down from my hair and I had to get rid of it by cutting it!"

Thats hilarious:0) I have lost count of the amount of times children in my class have done that.....looking back maybe having a hairdresses in role play area wasn't a good idea. But Alhamduillah the parents always saw the funny side.

Was it an accident or she knew what she was doing? Actually thinking about you probably made her too nervous to ask if she could go! lol! :P

I was leading the physical education class today with yr 6 children who were at our school as part of the open day, whilst explaining one of the games i heard a group of children to my left shout 'urgghhhh' and a large number of them were laughing, upon closer inspection i noticed that one of the poor girls had decided to urinate right in the middle of the sports hall......great....just great!!!!!
