so i might come out to LA this summer and i wanted to surf again (last time was 1998) so im thinkin im going to need lessons. but i heard boards are scarce since the surfboard companies went to shit. whats the scene out there? tell me prices haven't risen and boards are still avail. thanks.

Are you kidding me? Quicksilver and bodyglove are still making boards that are strong and durable!!! I just recently got a 6'4" body glove board and have no regrets! Where in LA will you be surfing? Look me up... I will be slummbering in Redondo and Manhattan Beach all through out the summer. If you come in July you can catch the Kelly Slater classic at Redondo beach!!!
