How do some reciters of Quran can read long verses without pausing. Are there any useful exercises?

SA,Having sound knowledge of tajweed is essential. Then you have to pace yourself. In the past, I would get slightly irritated (God forgive me) at reciters who sounded as though they were running a marathon of oration. To me, the most beautiful recitation is one where the rules of tajweed are followed and there is some emotion to the recitation (I don't mean like crying and that sort of thing, since that tends to be distracting at times, but simple emotion in the words). For example, if you study the style of Sudais, you find that he manages to hold long verses, without sounding like he is trying to get it all out in one breath.

I am planning on creating a room on Paltalk to listen to people interested in reciting Quran they have memorized or are currently memorizing. How many of you would be interested in participating in something like this?

I just read the ask naseeb article (12/05/06) about a sister whose husband is cheating. It sounds really bad and I didn't want to comment, as this is a very sensitive situation. However, I really want to invite all village members to make sincere dua for this sister, and Allah knows best.

Yeah, I read that article as well. Things are not always as them seem and it's definitely not proper for us to make decisions on an issue like this with out having first talked to both partners. May Allah Subhana Wa Tala ease both of their affairs and bring them whatever is best for this deen and dunya. Ameen.Login to find out

I memorized a little bit of Quran and due to the dunya and shaytan I forgot some of it. Does anyone here have any advice on what I can do? It's hard to even perform tawaba now and I feel this is a really bad sign.

A.S.A.What you described is not uncommon. Many of us are in a similar situation. What I found useful is:
1. Listen to Quran frequently. Replace the music CDs from the car with quranic CDs.
2. Instead of listening to the whole Quran, listen the chapters you memorised.
3. Try to read the translation and explanation.
4. Make dua to Allah swt "O Allah! Make the Quran the delight of our hearts and the light of our breasts and the remover of our pain, sorrow and discomfort."
May Allah swt help us all....(Ameen) :)

"And we have indeed made Quran easy to understand and be remembered, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?"

Sa,Make tawbah even if you don't feel like it. sometimes first we have to act and then the emotions come later, and Allah knows best.

some one recetly told me that tajweed is very imp on order to learn the quran for example the word khalb in means heart and the word kalb means dog, if we accidently use toe other sound then the whole ayah goes wrong, As alof of ppl here dont know arabiic and i am one of em too sometime si dont even realize i am saying the wrogn word and i read those surahs in my salah. so that makes my salah wrong then.
