Dear xxxx,
I don't understand what happened. I never have understood alot of things between us. At one point, we're the best of friends...at another point, you tell me that you're influencing me too much and need to back off. You have to know that I care about you, more than friends. You have to know that it's borderline...well, you know. I sit there hours and hours on end, hearing you talk about her. And all i do is listen. Why are you still thinking about her? She's gone. She left. She's married. But I am here. I'm not married. and I make you happy. I make you smile and laugh and be carefree, but the moment I step away, she's back. I know what you go through, because I go through it with you too. Every tear, every sob, every lonely night...I wish you had understood me better. I'm alot like you. What you thought about after your breakup, I've been thinking since the 7th grade. Women just mask it better. You chose 30, I chose 40. Both being greedy decisions, but nonetheless, the same decision. I chose 40 because I want to experience things. I want to experience love, hate, happiness, sadness. I want to get married and have children. I want to experience all that. The greedy part about that was that I wasn't going to experience that alone...I'd be leaving people. Your greedy part was that before you could experience it, you would be. You wouldn't give people a chance to make you happy. You wouldn't be giving yourself a chance to be happy. It's like you don't want to be happy. You never influenced me about that. I decided that long before I knew you, before I knew who you were. I thought I wanted to experience it with you. I actually sat on my bed and told myself...I want to be the one to tell him that he's going to be a father. Then I realized what I said...Needless to say, I was in shock...
It makes me sad to know that you don't want to love again. It's such a wonderful feeling. Always at your happy place, smiling away...Always thinking about the other person, wondering what they're doing, wondering if they're thinking about you...wanting to always keep them happy..I can't fully describe the feeling, but it's amazing. and you don't want it. You told me that when you're with me, you forget about her, on the other hand, you don't want to be with me because of her. Why do you put yourself through that? Haven't you spent enough nights crying yourself to sleep? Don't you want to not feel that pain anymore, like I do...All i want to do is fix everything for you, but you don't want me to.
You've pushed me away again...with another excuse. Yet, I keep wanting to come back. I don't know what to do...well, I know what to do, I just don't know how to do it. We'll just leave this as it is, right now. Like we always do...i'll always be there for you...
jaise aap Devdas, woh Paro, aur mein...baas ek chandramukhi.

In this situation everyone suffers; love has become the biggest problem a powerful man can face, precisely because his physical strength is completely useless in dealing with it. The centre of the action is in the human heart, the conflict between what ought to be and what is.

Once upon a time there was an island where all the
feelings lived; happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all
the others, including love.

One day it was announced to all of the feelings that
the island was going to sink to the bottom of the
ocean. So all the feelings prepared their boats to
leave.

Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted to
preserve the island paradise until the last possible
moment.

When the island was almost totally under love decided
it was time to leave. She began looking for someone to
ask for help. Just then Richness was passing by in a
grand boat. Love asked, 'Richness, Can I come with you
on your boat?' Richness answered, ' I'm sorry, but
there is a lot of silver and gold on my boat and there
would be no room for you anywhere.'

Then Love decided to ask Vanity for help who was
passing in a beautiful vessel. Love cried out,
'Vanity, help me please.' 'I can't help you', Vanity
said, 'You are all wet and will damage my beautiful
boat.'

Next, Love saw Sadness passing by. Love said, '
Sadness, please let me go with you.' Sadness answered,
'Love, I'm sorry, but, I just need to be alone now.'

Then, Love saw Happiness. Love cried out, ' Happiness,
please take me with you.' But Happiness was so overjoyed
that he didn't hear Love calling to him.

Love began to cry. Then, she heard a voice say, 'Come
Love, I will take you with me.' It was an elder.
Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to
ask the elder his name. When they arrived on land the elder
went on his way. Love realized how much she owed the elder.

Love then found Knowledge and asked, 'Who was it that
helped me?' 'It was Time', Knowledge answered. 'But
why did Time help me when no one else would?', Love
asked. Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity,
answered, 'Because only Time is capable of understanding how
great Love is.'

One day a young man was standing in the middle
of the town proclaiming that he had the most
beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large
crowd gathered and they all admired his heart
for it was perfect.
There was not a mark or a flaw in it.
Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most
beautiful heart they had ever seen.
The young man was very proud and boasted
more loudly about his beautiful hear

Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of
the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not
nearly as beautiful as mine."

The crowd and the young man looked at the
old man's heart. It was beating strongly,
but full of scars, it had places where pieces
had been removed and other pieces put in, but
they didn't fit quite right and there were
several jagged edges. In fact, in some places
there were deep gouges where whole pieces
were missing.

The people stared -- how can he say his heart
is more beautiful, they thought?
The young man looked at the old man's heart
and saw its state and laughed.

"You must be joking," he said.
"Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect
and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect
looking but I would never trade with you.
You see, every scar represents a person to
whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece
of my heart and give it to them, and often
they give me a piece of their heart which fits
into the empty place in my heart, but because
the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges,
which I cherish, because they remind me of the
love we shared. "Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart
away, and the other person hasn't returned
a piece of his heart to me. These are the
empty gouges -- giving love is taking a chance.

Although these gouges are painful, they stay open,
reminding me of the love I have for these people too,
and I hope someday they may return and fill the
space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running
down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man,
reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart,
and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old
man with trembling hands

The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart
and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and
placed it in the wound in the young man's heart.
It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.
The young man looked at his heart, not perfect
anymore but more beautiful than ever,
since love from the old man's heart flowed into his.
They embraced and walked away side by side
