From The Basement sets a new standard for music TV production. The show is beautifully filmed in high-definition at Maida Vale studios in London with the live sound by producer Nigel Godrich. From The Basement has no host and no studio audience, instead the artist and their performance take centre stage.
The first episode is very special. From The Basement launches with Thom Yorke on the piano exclusively performing songs from the new Radiohead album, alongside incredible performances from The White Stripes and an improvised collaboration between Four Tet's Kieran Hebden and genius drummer Steve Reid. yeah i got this album when it came out in july - was waiting for it actually - it's amazing, the lyrics and the music are phenomenal - he is one of the best musical geniuses around!! my fave track: harrowdown hill -

i'm so relieved i got tickets! both shows sold out in 2 minutes!!
they won't be out with their new album (in studio recording) until next year, but they'll be playing all their old stuff which is just as good!
can't wait!!!!!!!

i know what you mean about the religious experience - they're amazing live, this is the second time i'll be seeing them.i'm sure they'll be coming to your area too - they're touring europe right now, and then they'll be starting north america end of the month.
hopefully u'll get tickets!

YOu are so lucky! Last time I saw RH was back in 2001 Boston and NYC. They were soooo good ,it was almost a religious experience!!

has added a new journalthom yorke and jon greenwood were involved in alot of the songs on this soundtrack - they were part of a band, venus in furs - and thom yorke performed the vocals - he sounds different from the usual radiohead songs.
if you like anything and everything by radiohead/thom yorke - u're gonna enjoy the soundtrack!

glad you mentioned that! i love placebo and that's what got me to watch the movie in the first place. that and also that fact that it's got christian bale, ewan mcgregor and jonathon rhys myers :) - sweet!
