HAHA! Dying?! This village was long dead even before I ever arrived! What say we shake it up a bit?!I say Ottawa in general needs a bit of waking up. We live in a fantastic city, we are very nice people yet there is still something wrong.
ITs like even taboo for someone from Ottawa to join Naseeb and GOD FORBID you join Naseeb and even put up your picture! :P I think alot of Muslims in this city spend to much time caring about what other people think.

has added a new journalISLAMIC INVESTMENT SEMINAR: Montreal
Omar Hayat has been for the past two years, working on providing an Islamic Alternative to Riba Free Investments through Investors Group. Masha'Allah he has over 150 families on board with the project with close to 2 million dollars in this portfolio.Alhamdullilah this new initiative has been extremely successful and widely accepted by the Muslim Community in Montreal. Mr.Hayat has made appearances on radio shows and holds regular seminars. The response and feedback received has been phenomenal and this new initiative has been gaining much momentum and recognition Canada-wide. Mr. Hayat is a McGill University Graduate and has worked with a team of financial planners and experts in Islamic Law and with their help, he has managed to put together a 'Shariah' compliant portfolio. Mr.Hayat strives to introduce some ideas on 'Islamic' investments and what Investors Group has to offer which meet those requirements. There has been an absence of understanding when it comes to 'Halal' investments and this intiative attempts to explain some of these issues. His last seminar on April 29th was attended by people from all over Canada as well as Professors in Islamic Finance and Islamic Bankers from across Montreal. If you have not already been to Mr. Hayat's seminars please be sure to attend the next one and do not be shy to ask questions!!
His next seminar will take place On May 6th at the 'Towards Mecca Dawah Center' near Concordia's Loyola Campus at 11:00 am. I pray that this message reaches all of you in a rising state of Iman
It has been over 2 months since the earthquake in Pakistan yet the situation in the affected areas is as dire as ever. With winter fast approaching and life-saving resources scarce, tens of thousands of earthquake survivors face death, hunger and disease as well as prolonged displacement and homelessness.
Several members of the Pakistani Community here in Ottawa have decided to get together and organize a Fundraising Exhibition for the South Asian Earthquake. This event is open to everyone and will prove to be a nice outing with friends and family on Sunday. It is also a perfect opportunity to purchase beautiful clothing and jewelry for yourself and as gifts. There will be door prizes, lots of South Asian food as well as Henna tattoos, and face painting for the kids.
