This village is for people who live or once lived in Okeechobee, or is a friend of someone from there. FYI, Okeechobee means "Big Water." It is the largest body of water that is within US land. There is a lots to do. One can participate in the local rodeo for a big prize, or cheer for the high school football team, the Okeechobee Brahmans. If you finished high school, did not get pregnant or impregnate someone, then you are part of a select group of people.

has added a new journaldo all of you visit regularly? i haven't been back in a while.. my folks tell me they're tearing down the old house finally after the hurricane. so many memories there... from all the parties and eid namaz's and iftars and reunions and even the florida myna camp, i wonder how many people have passed those brown double-doors over the years... i'm really sad. :(

the first hurricane ripped holes in the roof; the second one drove in enough water to leave the placed condemned. amazing how much damage water can do. a wrecking ball crew is headed there apparently any day now...who's left in town?
