has added a new journalDid anyone catch MuslimFest last weekend? WOW- they did an amazing job! the bazaar spilled out over the lawn onto city centre and really grabbed peoples attention. Further proving that we Muslims know how to throw a party. :)
on another note--catch the flea market - dundas/ mavis , everything in food court is halal and there are a few Islamic shops in there...cheap hijabs!

Yes, everyone is on Facebook, but the villages here just seem to uniquely work a bit better (and then everything else about Naseeb.com is lacking!)What's going on in the next couple of weeks here in Mississauga?

"Feminism, Democracy and Empire: Islam and the War on Terror" (public lecture)
Thurs. Mar. 29, 8 p.m.
Angus Centre 1A6 (in the medical centre)
As well, a departmental lecture in religious studies on Friday Mar. 30, 10 a.m., University Hall 122,"Religious Signs and Secular Reason: An Impasse?"

Yasir's wife is a convert. I guess they are just showing that there all types of Muslimahs!on 'The Hour' they were reading the letters that they got at the CBC in response to the first episode. They got some hate mail. One guy wrote ' Please take this show off the air, I think its an insult that you are trying to display Muslims as sweet innocent people and not the murderous bunch they are.' ---ouch. well the creator of the show, Zarqa Nawaz was saying that she expected some backlash.
