Not to say it was a big deal....but how come there was no village ever created for men's fashion?! LOL!! :) There are plenty on women's fashion of course :) Anyways, we now have a village to talk about Men's Fashion.....post any upcoming events such as fashion shows that can be attended.....or anything relating to upcoming fashion from designers.....what's in.....as well as what's "out"! LOL!! :)

Women are welcome to join the village to tell us men what they think of men's attire....feedback is always welcome and appreciated! :)

A female friend of mine who is an upscale fashion designer (for women's Pakistani/Indian clothes) in the NY Metro area is holding her second Fashion Show here in NY. Such fashion shows are very exclusive and tickets are sold only by an invitation in order to control the type of crowd attending. The event will be held in Westchester on March 17, 2007 from 6pm onwards. Main details of the event are as follows:

- Fashion show (Pakistani/Indian clothes for women)
- Music with live tabla/sitar/bhangra
- Full course dinner

The proceeds of the event will be going to a local hospital and the theme of the event is to give the Americans (who are the main sponsors and will attend) a taste of our culture with primary focus, of course, on the fashion show. While the cost of the ticket is only $50 for those interested, I do have to state that I have only a very limited number of spots available. If you are interested then please send me an email with your contact number before the end of this week. You will be required to make a commitment on the phone and buy the ticket by writing a check in the name of the hospital.

Lastly (and I do have to apologize for this), but provided I have a ticket available for those interested, I will review your profiles before a ticket is allocated. It is only being done to make sure we have the type of crowd that will be needed at an event of this type so everyone enjoys. Please don't shoot the messenger, its the women who demand this!

And yes, its a proper fashion show with catwalk and choreography. Approximately 12 girls were selected from a list of almost 80 candidates. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks! :)

PS: I get no commission, just doing this to promote my friend's work/talent....LOL! :)
