LittleLibya

Ahlain! Alas, a place where we can talk about how we like to mash eggs and potatoe's in our Bazeen. Yes folks, it's ok. Libyans unite here. Wether your from Tripoli, Benghazi or your a Jbali, it don't matter. Your Libyan and you correct people when the they say "Lebenon?". Welcome home!

I was in Tripoli just days before the huge 40th year celebration (the stage was huge). Just curious if anyone on this thread was there live and what it was like.

Asalamu Alikum Ya'll,
There's a new comedy show on CBC Canada called 'Little Mosque on the prairie' and in my opinion its HILAAAAAAAARIOUS. I just have to share with the people here that are not in Canada.

Here is the first episode...it really is funny...:
Part 1:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu2-lXDe2to
Part 2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmSAYyTKD0o
Part 3:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4SH-vxBZEo
Part 4:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsOH7Kmmfrs

Its a half hour show. And this is the best quality on youtube but it includes the commercials :(. But you can just wait for it to load and then skip the commercials :D. I hope you like it. Salamat

I think it also depends on how close to the Libyan community you are. I see sometimes non-Libyan ladies that are married to Libyan men at Libyan Eid parties and they are basically sittin' all alone left out. Its hard to mix with Libyans if they don't speak english fluently etc.

I think as long as both people are good Muslims then any marriage will be blessed. Al-Humulillah. and LOL Arnoba @ ur QUestion...it's like you said i guess, only time will tell...Thanks for the feedback ladies. :)

Assalamu Alaikum,

I hope everyone had a great Eid :) Do you think it's possible for a Libyan that has lived most of their life abroad to lead a good life in Libya? Many Libyan families here in Canada are packing up their belongings and moving to their beloved country. I'm just wondering if moving to Libya is something other young persons/couples are considering at this point.

Looking forward to hearing your input on this subject.

I wouldn't mind, as long as I have a phone and the internet :). Oh and as long as I'll be able to get out when I need to. AND...when I have babies, I wanna deliver them in a good clean hospital. Yep, thats about it.
