It?s that time again! As I contemplate the many reasons of being proud of my Pakistani heritage including having a last name similar to one of the London Train suicide bombers?I wonder what event Illinois and the Greater Chicago Area have planned for Jashane Azaadi 2005. Please divulge me in information, dates, locations, and what you love about ?Chauda August?!! BTW There is a phenomenal Exhibition of Contemporary Art going on at the Pakistani Embassy in DC, Aug 15-22, but you can still view the paintings at link
p.s My favorite part of Pak Parade are the pretentious gals and guys strutting their stuff ISNA style, and the pack of guys with the jagnourmous flags and portly white girls on the back of their bikes. Classic!
