BJ--Funny but for some odd reason i thought you were from Swat.
"those" type of women do actually exist here in america...come to cali or Lodi area. You will find women there who still wear their traditional velvet dresses like they came stratight out the mountains.
Ziarat is very close by and I've got meagaan family there. We're all one and the same...just happen to live in different villages. Man...we need more of those women here in America!
ok the meeagan in out village come from this one other village--we call it ziarat or some other name my call it...but the women form that village are very conservative...i guess it differers from place to place.
yup I'm meeagaan. Specifically Palay Meeagaan. And while it's true that the women are tightly guarded, we boast some of the most highly educated women of Pashtunistan. In my family we have a range from a doctor (my mamma) to aunts with masters in education Mashallah. Not one women in my family is uneducated walhumdulillah.
BJ, i remember you saying that your mother was from "meeagan" There are many of them in out village...extremely conservative. There women never leave the house or some never see past their front door.
we are shinwary 100% pure pushtana lol (dad's side is Hamza Khyel and mom's side is Hasan khyel)
my family is originally (both mom and dad's) side are from Afghanistan (like most pushtoons). They migrated to the other side of the border a little more than half a century ago (probably it was 10 min walk since we aren't that far :P )
