Will Radiology be outsourced?

It's an idea that many people have, except the radiologists that I speak too. Obviously the potential is there but...... I'd like to hear what people have to say....preferably evidence based...

For radiology it is not only the question of having night hawks reading files.. there are orthopods and cardioligsts who are running MRI and other radiological tests in their offices. And since these specialists have direct patient interaction and see these patients on a personal level- guess who the patients will go to for getting these tests.. But at the end of the day it all boils down to what you love doing- if you like rad and that dark room pumps in all the epinephrine in you - go for it.. You can do a fellowship in interventional radiology -
Look into EM or better yet EM-IM before you give your life away to radiology

I believe that there is a good chance of Radiology becoming an outsourced.
