Toomer's not the solution? He was their leading receiver as far as receptions went while they beat the Texans and went to 5-2, right before the Bears game, while they were clearly looking like the best team in the NFC. Later in the week, it was revealed that he tore his ACL. We could have made it through that if we never lost our left tackle. Again, I know nobody wants to hear it but losing Petigout at left tackle in the middle of the Bears game was the season turning point for the Giants. Eli had 15 TD's the first 8 games. Toomer played 7 and 1/2 games and caught 3 TD's and 32 receptions. Eli threw 9 TD's the rest of the way. Telling me Toomer and Petigout had nothing to with that????? ); Anyway, hopefully Sinorice Moss stays healthy and can make some progress next season and emerge, otherwise I expect Toomer to at least come back and be some sort of contributer.

On defense, well what can you say? Lost Strahan, Umenyiora for like 4 games (who was never the same afterwards anyway), and Arrington (not like he matters, terrible signing, but a presence never the less). Bottom line, if we fix the front 7 and create pressure again, the secondary will be better, that goes without saying. After all, these are NFL players we are talking about.

As for Ryan, just look at him on the sidelines, The fire, the enthusiasm, the motivation. I mean could you imagine how the raider defense has to feel every game when their offense does absolutely nothing and they are still #1 against the pass and would be a lot better if teams didn't build such huge leads on them to where they run the ball the entire 2nd half? I would take Rob Ryan as my head coach at anytime. Honestly, the only guys I would take over him are of course Bellichick, Mangini, Jeff Fisher, Mike Nolan, and thats about it. Another words, there is not one candidate out there available today who is better in my mind than Rob Ryan. Now I'm obviously not in the industry and don't know what he's really like but I'm judging by his work as a defensive coordinator as well as his leadership skills he shows during games.

Losing Tiki Barber will be tough for the Giants. He was an amazing back and he will be missed even though they have Brandon Jacobs. Personally, I feel Toomer is not a solution for a #2 WR and that needs to be addressed. Agree with the Shockey comment - he needs to be in mini-camp but you can't question his desire - he plays hard.

Defensively, the Giants should be better, but man this team needs discipline and if Mr. Tom Coughlin can't get his team to concentrate - you have to consider a change in the near future.

I agree with Ryan not being considered but his time will come. What a phenomenal D-coordinator! Picking up knowledge from his dad I am sure.

Did any one see the hit Shockey took after helmet was off. Although I hate the U with passion but have to admit .. the guys coming of the U are big hitters and can take big hits.

Jets will be fine next year and New yorks team looks very good to make a run next year bearing there is no more coaching changes.

Keep the coach. Nobody better until Cowher is available or if you can somehow get Jeff Fisher. If you go young though, I say Rob Ryan (raiders defensive coordinator). Shocking how this guy gets no consideration. You believe the Raiders are considering giving their offensive coordinator the HC job as well as Stever Sarkisan over Ryan?

As for personnel. Obviously Tiki will be missed and you just can't replace a guy like that out of nowhere. That being said, you will have to turn to a more ball control offense and lean on Brandon Jacobs. Draft a few Running backs, not just one. Use free agency to beef that O line up and sign a damn cornerback that can cover! I mean I haven't seen the free agency list yet but sign the best available o lineman and starting cornerback.

Another thing, keep Shockey in mini camp this year instead of going down to Miami to train like he does every year. The guy never makes it through the year healthy.

Other than this, a lo tcan be fixed just by players returning from injuries, such as Toomer, Strahan, and Petigout.

Get a running back and stop the run. Thats all the Jets need to do. And continue to draft and build around SMART, disciplined, players, just like New England. If the Giants had the Jets discipline, we would have had a first round bye this year!

Yeah, that backward pass was the killer! Still, you can't bedemoralized today as a Jet fan. You lost to a better team. You have a good coach, a solid offensive line for year's to come, which is key to the future. I think if the Jets #1 priority is to find a feature back that somewhat resembles Curtis Martin. They should make a serious push for Michael Turner and draft some good front 7 defensive players. Also, I hear they will be interested in Ashante Samuel. They have a lot of money to spend and reuniting him with Mangini, hmmm. Future is bright my friend. Nothing to be devistated over.

If Brady wins the Super Bowl again, there is no question he is the greatest QB in NFL history. I feel he is already but if he wins this year without another weapon on the entire team, I don't see how anyone can question that. Do you realize that Besides Brady, there is no other hall of famer on any of the 3 Super Bowl winning Patriot teams? And no, Junior Seau this past year won't count!

I didn't get to see the Saturday games and haven't seen analysis of them either but I heard Herm Edwards offensive approach was horrendous (what else is new) and Witten got screwed on a call for what looked like a first down.

As for the Jets, I think that game was close in to the 4th quarter. That Samuel INT came with like 5 minutes to go into the game. Anyone catch Bellichick toss the camera man out of the way to hug Mangini??? That was pretty funny.

3-1 ATS - who would have thought NE crushing the Jets in the second half. The Cowboys game was really difficult to take because they clearly beat themselves. The Giants showed a lot of poise coming back from 20-10 but lost it in the closing seconds. Indy defense played well but they have been playing well at home of late (see game against Cinci).

3-1 against the spread. Not bad! (H)

Anyway, very disappointed in the Giant loss but its an easy ine to cope with since I wasn't expecting a win.

Told you at home and with Sanders back, LJ would be controlled but that was just pure domination! Although I missed BOTH games yesterday while at a wedding.

And the poor Jets. They did well this season and they have a real bright future ahead of them, thats for sure.

He didn't break like 2 50 plus yard TD's and toss one as well??? Maybe that was against LSU??? My bad.

McFadden was having a field day ? ? he was limited to 70 or so rush yds for the game, his lowest. INTs are part of game and we are getting them cause defence is that much athletic and physical !!
Leak is good enough QB to win and actually QB for florida is not leak its Leabow ( Leak + Teabow ).. the freshman phenom who dont run out but runs into Safeties and actually just run over them and loves to knock out Corners..
It will be a very good game !! :)

Thats right. How the hell did I mix up LSU and Arkansas? McFadden was having a field day on you guys. What are you talking about? It was luck. Wasn't there an INT for a TD late or something? All I know is you can't possibly tell me LEaky is a good QB.

Well I can give you a guarantee they wont lose big... it will be close and they did not beat LSU in sec champ game it was Arkansas. LSU was punked by us at home :)
and how they did it ... well its simple a very stingy hard hitting.. bone breaking defence :) .. Oh St will feel it on monday as well

Florida's gonna lose big man. Hate to tell ya. Although I don't know how they beat LSU in teh SEC championship. LSU and USC looked damn good in their bowl games.

Anyway, what a moron Grossman is. "I didn't give it a hundred percent cuz it was New Years". He had a 0.0 passer rating.

i'm an ACC guy but when it comes to football the SEC is by far the best conference. if you can go throught the SEC and only lose 1 game then that team should be playing in the national championship game...michigan fans were morons to think they should have gotten the rematch..
