Why so dead??

Hello San Diegans,

It shouldn't be this quiet around here, should it? I and some friends of mine (who are also in this village) get together every now and then for some funn activities (yeah w/ 2 n's) ... everyone here is more than welcome to join us, if you're interested let me know and I'll keep you in the loop : )

Asif.

PS: They are all halal activities!

Mysterasif... please don't feel as if I am trying to persuade you away from what you are doing. I think your approach it's actually wonderful and it seems to work for you...

My reply was directed more towards the subject of, "why so dead".

If anything I agree with you that emails/phone/evite is a better way to get your friends to come out (or to organize a real activity). I was agreeing with you that I practice the same method myself with my circle of friends.

I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page... because it seemed as if you took my response in a different way then i was trying to convey it.

I do need to come to SD. One of these days. ;)

By the way, I have to say that the naseeb scene on the East coast was a BLAST!

I was in NYC for new years and met up with 20 or so naseebers. I was in the city for 5 days and I have to say that I was not alone for a single moment. We got together for meals, sight seeing, museums, premium cigar lounges, clubs, bar hopping, sheesha and even house parties!

yea... without the online activity/participation... it is going to be hard to capture the hearts of new nassebers in the SD area (unless you know them personally).

I do the same with my friends in Cali as well and with my village too... i just meet up frequently with the people i enjoy being around.

That's the SoCal lifestyle... if you want to have fun get togethers... there are other villages (not in Cali) that are very active with their members.

It's the cold weather... desi families don't like to turn on the heater or A/C... so they are all huddling in rooms with blankets rather then near the computer :P
