Who knows this
I guess one of the things I want an answer to is what kinds of people does everyone feel they meet on here. I have met some people who I feel just cannot be trusted. They start off sounding very reasonable, cultured and decent but sooner or later end up giving you a reason to doubt them. I am not saying everyone on here is like that but I would like to know what other people's experience here has been.
Is it really even worthwhile trying to meet people from on here. You tell me.

its insane
i would say desis have a propensity of being unnaturally catty/ nasty.. (usually this comes from unemployed aunties who have nothing better to do than gossip) .. this is just an online version of it i think
does that affect anyone in real life or not?? i mean if they say mean things about someone doesnt it hurt them at some level??
hence online forums such Naseeb can be a powerful tool if used that way.
*can harm = cannot harm
And i must say life would be allot better if there was no Monday morning ...
we read about similar stuff at uni - non-visual cues not being sufficient to find out what a person means... computers eg. an msn session can make you feel you know what the other person is thinking/ feeling/ what their mood is,
but because you can't see them laughing/ yawning/ rolling their eyes/ getting upset/ angry at what you type (and they can't tell always tell whether what you type is serious or a joke.. you may both actually lose the visual cues you would pick up on (uncomfortable/ insecure body language for instance)
- the same goes for a phone conversation - you would be able to pick up the visual cues if you met them and had a discussion in person... it may be less about whether the person is untrustworthy as opposed to whether they are hiding behind an online persona/ you're unable to gauge what they're like just by online interaction
if you're looking for a partner though you need to be even more careful - i liken online stuff to people you will meet on the street/ in a pub/ club - as with these places you're likely to meet extreme riff-raff, no guarantee the person / people you meet are not dodgy.. so take it with a pinch of salt / be careful and get to know them well.. some people only show their true colours after months/ a year
NYB - Naseeb allows a lot of insecure people play roles and become personalities they would like to be. its easier to be that way when one has the cloak off cyber/virtual world around them.
but i am sure we all come across seemingly normal people who are actually psychotic
