When does one become too westernized?
Warning: may be a sensitive topic. If it results in fights it will be dropped.
I'd like opinions from people about when one can become too westernized. In that term, I mean, behave like them, dress like them, almost literally become one of them.
Bear in mind, there is a lot of good we have encountered and are still seeing in these societies...cleanliness, clearcut laws, where bribes, scandals, cheating, etc...are all punishable acts.
Then there is the molding to become one of them,...like the clubbing, drinking, getting too involved in their TV programming, Hollywood B.S., distractions everywhere to try and make you forget about reality around you and keep you passive...

Gotta love it.
hope everyone is doing well...
i'll catch up with everything in here and get back with my two cents when my fried brains become unfried...
3ala fikra...mumkin 7ad yi2oli what the meaning of word "3ibs" is....i know its egyptian..
arab speakin dude/girly says "lets do this"
you say "naw dude, not my thing"
then he/she says "you westernized punk"
or some variation of that.
it seems to come down too if you think they ain't right or if you have one opinion and they have another, they say you westernized
(kinda same way more liberal muslims will call people who disagree withthem fundamentalists, and the more religious people will call the liberal people kaffirs or some variation of the term when disagreement occurs.)
anyway it's all in the eye of the beholder.
