me either....the more I hate the more I had to study Math, Physics, and Chemistry.....the tragedy of my life.....oh well this life was never meant to be a perfect bliss anyways .....:p
Kite runner was definetly amazing.. the cups of tea novel sounds really good aswell.
Those who have recommended books, thankyou from me, I hope to make a list, i find it really usefull going on recommendations saves me time humming to myself when im at WHsmith ready to catch a train.
I've already ordered 3 cups of tea...its our next book club book (hopefully an improvement from love in the time of cholera!) I've heard its quite inspirational...and I agree Farishtay, we all need a little kick in the pants now and then:)
1000 spelendid suns is really depressing. i've heard much about 3 cups of tea,...plan on picking it up one day soon. but something along the same lines of "3...", there's a book called Kabul Beauty School, by a fellow Michigander, her work in Afghanistan...very good read!
Aouichab thank you so much for the invite, You are simply a brilliant and incredibly well rounded person. I am sure we'll have some really good, open , and interesting discussions here.:)
Thanx Aouichab for inviting me here :) hope you are keeping well.
Last book I read: Nicholas Spark's "Dear John".. I really enjoyed it, and even shed a tear ... It's a love story between a young student and a soldier, in United States just before 09/11. It's about the consequences of war on their daily life. Short read, yet moving.
Next read: "Au royaume des femmes" Irene Frain... sorry for the English speakers naseebers, the book has not been translated in English yet.
Fairshtay: why shame on us? We all have different ways to contribute...and the 'man'...was chosen by Allah to carry out that task that he did, so alhamdulillah :)
I enjoyed Nicholas spark's: "A walk to remember" a very short n simple read...yet refreshing :)
"Battle for God" by Karen Armstrong is my next read, inshaAllah!
