It was the spirit of Jihad which scared the British. They actively sought an alternative to real Islam. Among the many things they did, one was the foundation of a new religion in the name of Islam by the hands of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani. The British gave Mirza full support and an outline; and he filled in the details. the U.S. and the British are major protectors of this sect.

Khan is there not more of shoots of Islam...in pak i have heard so many different sects like barilly, sufi
Salman worora, Thank you for your input regarding my comments.: ) Anyway, I heard something about how the leader of Ahmadis died. Is it true? Do you know anything where did he die and how?
Bsuhra, like I said, if u want to move forward, you become Qadiani, and thats what its about----money and power. Qadianis are well connected and do dirty work of forgien agencies so they are very influential.
Khan i think the fellows from Pukhtunkhua who claim to be qadianis would only do it becasue they want to get into parliment....i dotn think any same normal muslim would convert to that sect....i meam come on they think its OK to drink.
Also, have you guys heard about Zikris. They are small relegious group in parts of Balochistan and Karachi. They do their own Hajj at koh-eMurad in Turbat.
well i have to agree with pak on this.....cause they in no way follow islam......i dotn even know why they would call them slelf muslims. Matter fact i hear shiaism came about the same way they did........its all corruption if you ask me.
Bushar, u r right. Qadianis were officially declared non-muslims during mid 70s in Pak. The irony here is that they were declared non-m by Bhutto's gov, and qadianis had a major role in bringing him into power. Now they have there own special seats in the parliment but I can identify several people from central Pukhtunkhua who are qadianis and pass themselves as muslims and are members of parliament on regular muslim seats.
Taliba, Qadianis are so strong in Pak. We actually have some qadianis in our area (among Babers). Its amazing how many important and high ranked people are qadianis. If you want to move forward in Pak quickly and easily and make lots of money, convert to qadianiazm (NAUZUBILLAH).
Salmana, your observation of shia strength in pak is right on the money bro. Shia are well educated and well situated and are closely allied with Qadianis.
khan, We all know that. They had this war with us for long long time...and than created Taliban. And you know what, they might have suppressed the ladies right in Afghanistan at times, and there is tons of reasons behind it ...and they did some very good things too. We know about it and appreciate it too. So it did back fire on them: )
SD: Pakistan's whole importance in the world revolves around Afghanistan. If it wasn't for the Soviet-Afghan war, Pak would have never been allowed to finish its nuclear porgram. If you take Afg out of the context, Pakistan's importance in the region is reduced significantly. Everybody wants to do business with India and wants to keep India happy, old days of cold war are gone. So, Pak central gov has to do its best to keep things messy in Afg.
They in Islamabad are morons. On one hand they say that they don't accept the Rawalpnidia agreement between Afg and British and that Durand Line is permenant. Yet, Pak did its best to have Taliban sign a treaty saying that Durand Line is permenant and Afg doesn't have any claim on Pukhtunistan. But even Taliban, a gov strongly supported and built by Pak, where not stupid enough to sign such a treaty.
Salman bro, Thank you so much for you input, but I have one comments to make about your 1st point. Do you really believe what Musharaf said to public was the truth and he really joint US because of fear for his country or he just wanted to do it. This man as you might know is drunk most of the day, and comes to US always on unofficial visits to visit his son in Boston. And also, when karzi went to Pakistan for visit, it is norm, when the head of state is visiting another country, that countries head of state will receive him, but he didn't. So I have my doubt about his motives. I am sorry that is my individual opinion.
Bushra, I remember on thing, that his family said that he was very good son, send them letter, phone calls and money and suddenly everything stopped and hasn't heard from him. I have never met him, but he must be under 40, he was not married. I just wish I knew the city he is living. But I don't.
