Does anyone know of any online book or website for those who want to learn urdu and know english?
more emphasis on conversational rather than poetry and reading skills.

I just saw your reply... So far the words are similar, maybe a different one here and there. The script is like Chinese though. I will learn enough to read, but my head might explode if I get too deep into it (especially since I am trying to write the Urdu script equivalents and would like to focus on that)

kulsoom, i think that would work. which urdu speaker wouldnt understand you and vice versa? :)

ok so how about if I just take hindi instead (its being offered for free, more emphasis on vernacular rather than written)
