I know we have gone through this before, but i would really like to have a get together in the city once a month to discuss books. Are there any people here that are not only interested but would actually meet up to discuss the book chosen?

Come on people! We all read the same books and are conversationalists (read as have strong opinions) so why not commit to meeting up over some coffee.

Anyone up for Tuesday April 24?

We will choose a book next Friday March 30th
- For now i am thinking "A Long Way Gone" by Ishmeal Beah

i will be out of town in the 28th...maybe i can join you on the 24th but late...very difficult for me to leave work early these days...but don't let my schedule spoil the event...if i can't make it to this meeting maybe the next...

hmmm i will run the idea of a weekend meet up with the other participants and hopefully we can all have a decision by this Friday.

Thats a great idea ... hmmm well if its ok with everyone i would like to start with this book. Unless someone feels strongly about another book ... and i will think of a place. how is that Lala_?

I'd love to do it. The way a friend of mine does it that after you get a group going the first person who is selected will pick a book and a resturant to discuss it in. This way not only do we get to choose different resturants and sample but we also read cool books and discuss among friends.
