I was just wondering in general. I have used ubuntu before and I like it. I just got a new mini laptop (Asus eee pc 900) that runs on linux. I thought the muslim version of Ubuntu would be neat to try but I don't like web filters.
I tried the Muslim version a while back and it worked fine for me.However, now I just use the normal Ubuntu version if needed.
Aishakinusa are you having some issues with disabling web content filter ? I wasn't aware that it is put in place as default. I am sure there is a way to remove it. Let me know what version you are using and we can look into this.
Does anyone have the Muslim Edition? Does it work ok? Is there any way to leave the prayer times, Quran study tool, but disable the web content filtering tool?

It does seems like a good project though. They have come up with a new version now and all sorts of updates.
