Tuscany, Italy
Tuscany (in Italian: Toscana) is one of the 20 regions of Italy. Its capital is Florence.
~ HISTORY
Tuscany is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance movement and its artistic heritage includes architecture, painting and sculpture, collected in dozens of museums in towns and cities across the region. Perhaps the best-known are the Uffizi, the Accademia and the Bargello in Florence.
Tuscany was the birthplace of Dante Alighieri ("the father of the Italian language"), Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli.
The Renaissance was a cultural movement than spanned roughly the 14th throgh the 17th century, beginning in Italy in the the late Middle Ages and spreading through the rest of Europe. The Middle Ages are commonly marked by the fall of te Roman Empire and rise of Renaissance.

Tuscany is also known for its landscapes

Needless to say that in addition to relaxing, contemplating the Italian bright countryside, you'll enjoy eating one of the finest pizzas, fresh pasta, crostinis, breads and drinking capuccino or latte al fresco (seating outside cafes' terraces).
I visited Tuscany a dozen of times and every time I return there I appreciate once more intensity of the light, stylish tuscan villas/hotels, breathtaking countryside, scenery, sunsets, natural beaches, diversity of fresh food available in every restaurants and caf?s...and the variety of food beautifully cooked by all italian hosts...
