things to do in philly?
ok, so i'll be there in another day iA. meeting an old naseeb friend there halfway -- any ideas on things to do, restaurants for dinner - with good ambiance and food that has zabiha or fish/veggie available?
i know the museums seem like the big thing there; but seems like it would take too long , esp when meeting an old friend.
how about shopping or areas to stroll outside?
ps please write today :) thanks!

phillie pleasantly surprised me. in center city , it reminded me of manhattan, in that lots to see and do and well kept. of course there were a lot of stragglers hanging around and it gets a bit deserted after 9pm and that was unsettling. but if you're with someone it's all good. my cousin and i went to eat at al vez - a mexican place which was decent but $ adds up quick.
You can substitute lard with Veggie ghee
stopped by at the reading market today but the greek place i stopped to eat breakfast at was just eh .
went to the mutton after it was closed (closes at 5pm!) ; they had a medical lecture and the security kicked me and my friend out b/c it was exclusive!! i wanted to say 'i 'm a doctor! ' but i left without making a ruckuss.
I'm a poet, I tell ya.
There is a lot more in terms of zabihah eating, I am only mentioning the places that I know for a fact are zabihah.
Saads is in Javed's and My/Rabia's neck of the woods, its a Philadelphia institution. You should come out for tea and a halal cheese steak and a bean pie...
Gelato rules, everyone loves gelato. The folks that operate the gelato/sorbetto joints on 13th and 20th are true artists. They have flavors like gooseberry, mint/cilantro, burnt sugar, basil, bitter chocolate, and jasmine.
Indy cafes are basically dirtier, less friendly, and more anorexic than starbucks, which is why I love them so much.
There's also a great chinese bakery on 11th and race that has the best bubble tea ever.
The Trocadero is on 10th and arch, 2 blocks from the convention center... If you want to take in a death metal show cannibal corpse is playing sunday. Saturday looks like some local punk acts. The Cult is playing right now, and i would be there if it weren't for the fact that I just found out about it.... *sigh*
and fun things to do- what's fun about reading terminal market vs incredible gelato vs indy cafes? lil description por favor.
i really hope you can answer by the morning!! jak
