The problem
To start off, there are 3 main reasons why NAYSAYERS don't donate. .
a) NAYSAYERS believe that non-profit charitable organizations are a bunch of fraud. They might have a well argument to support their claim, but they seem to generalize all organizations by the actions of a few. Missing Key: TRUST.
b) NAYSAYERS believe that they have no idea where the non-profit organization is going to do spend their donation. This argument does carry some weight. Fund raising efforts are usually over-generalized, "Food for children in Africa".. Where in Africa? What's the situation? How many people? Whats the cost to feed one person? All of this information is usually not presented to motivate the NAYSAYERS into donating. Missing Key: INVOLVE.
c) NAYSAYERS may also claim that they had donated before and have no idea where that money was spent and what impact it had, if any. "You made a difference in such and such way" is a great pat on the back and can motivate the person to donate again, especially when statements include to the penny accounts of where the money was spent, showing all the operations costs as well. Donating nowadays is a one way street. You donate to a cause and hope it does some good. Missing Key: RESULTS.

I think NAYSAYERS have a issue of trust with the organizations that they dealing with when donating there money. I guess the organization is not showing any results of where the money was actually used when donated by the others... Also we as Insaan have a tendency to always think twice b4 handing out our money to anyone, the issue of trust always comes up and we begin to think whether they organization that we hand in the money for donation is going to use it in the right place for the right reasons or not... I am sure we all do think about that twice, because it is in our Nature to do so...
Look at the ISLAMIC RELIEF which is also an organization that is working around the world to make a difference,, yet people don't seem to question there trust,,b/z they are actually making a difference that could be seen, but still not enough to share it with everyone who needs our help.. In one way business b4 they donate do make sure that the money is going to the right non charitable organizations, that they could later on relate to when doing there tax filing for next year,,so that could also be the reason of where the money goes makes a difference to them.
