i wish i would have attended the WISE conference. i just wasnt aware of it till later.

I have been to a number of these meetings and its a great discussion group that meets almost every week. We have discussed many aspects of Islam trying to keep an open mind and be accepting of different views.
It is NOT part of the nationwide PMU although it does have some contact with PMU branches around the country. It meets every week. This past saturday was an update on the WISE conference (Women's Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equity) that was held recently in NYC. if im not on call, ill go. saturday jiujitsu ends around 1, and i can just go straight there. im interested in seeing what is considered a progressive muslim.

Ali, what do you usually order? Whenever I go there, I find the food to be on the bland side. Have my taste buds gotten too desified?
