Salaams All,
I just returned 2 wks ago and I have to tell you there was absolutely no crowd or rush at the Jamarat Alhamdu-Lillah. I was expecting it to take all day but Alhamdu-Lillah whenever we went there was never a crowd and we completed it very quickly. As someone mentioned, right now there are two levels to accomodate more ppl (with more under construction). Also the new design (curved walls) covers more area than the previous pillars, so there is a lot more room for people to stand.
Another thing - apparently before the traffic was allowed to travel from both directions but now they're very strict about allowing the traffic only one way....much safer!
