Syria challenges Hariri to prove assassination claim
A Syrian source refuted claims made by the head of the Future parliamentary bloc MP Saad Hariri in Egypt that a "Syrian assassination plot" was to target him. Speaking to A-Manar, the source, who asked not to be named, challenged Hariri to prove the claim. The Syrian source said that Hariri's claim which came directly after meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, "aimed at cutting the way on the Egyptian move towards consensus in Lebanon".
Also, Harir's recent claim against Syria "unveils his intentions especially after the extended talks between Lebanese and Egyptian officials", the source said. "We won't forget that Hariri returned recently from Washington where he received instructions aiming at frustrating any agreement effort," the source added.
Hariri said he had evidence of assassination plots against himself and head of the unconstitutional government Fouad Saniora. He made the claim in response to a question about alleged assassination plots by Syrian head of intelligence Assef Shawqat. "We have intelligence about this and we are following it up," he told reporters Tuesday. "The intelligence is correct and our security services are working on it. There is cooperation between Lebanese security services and Arab security services to avoid such assassinations," he said, without specifying which countries were helping in the investigations.

No wild allegations, the world is fed up of irresponsible politicians causing mayhem bloodbath and wanton destruction to populations that have no quarrel or self interest in vain desires by men and women who scurry for cover while their citizens suffer. Hariri runs around the country and the globe freely whilst all other Lebanese have to stay at their peoples side where they are guaranteed safety. When Israel announce repeatedly that it intends to murder leaders of any nation no one speaks up even as Israel carry out its murderous threats. What you expect from the people of the world Hariri - slaughter millions of people because a known liar seek to eliminate his foe. We aren't stupid Hariri; in a genuine civil society you'd have to prove your allegations otherwise you'll be put to death for attempting to incite public and international disorder.
