I LOVE Costco and Trader Joe's. I have that same berry bag from Costco (raspberries, blueberry and I forgot the third one). We have used it for smoothies also (mixed with frozen strawberries).
From 135 to 120 in a yr, I'm so lovin' this alhumdullah! Latest summer discovery...frozen fruit medley...buy at Costco or Trader Joes a bag of frozen berries, defrost and you have a cool and somewhat healthy summer snack...I read about the benefits in a health magazine.
I've read a lot of the posts of the success stories here. Mashallah it's great to hear about your accomplishments and they are very motivating. Keep at it
yea losing a lot of weight is hard... i lost 45 lbs in 6 months at college.. crazyness.. i looked like a completely different person.. but i gained 15 lbs back in grad school... ohh well.. say goodbye to my night with the ice cream tub LOL.. good ol days.. dont think im crazy people...
But it's become harder for me to work out recently, so Ive started to gain some weight again, eh...havent done cardio in ages and my weight training sessions last only 3 sessions sometimes...lost the motivation
hmm dude sorry i dont think so, im not meetin any guys thats for sure.I used to live in chicago..anyways... Why is everything an argument with you lol?? and you can take all the notes you want, in the end its all about what your body looks like. Hey I really dont have any problems on that aspect, im happy with my progress.
:) Ironmonkey on the same token that you will lose your gym membership with sauna and everything and continue only with those Wallah Mashallah 900 pushups per day. So when we meet at ISNA we can compare notes.
lol well saqibz you got your training cut out for you. What are you waiting for now? you should look like those guys by the time ISNA rolls around lol.
At Gym Jones we train elite athletes and professionals. For some of these individuals fitness can mean the difference between life and death. The objective is genuine fitness, not the appearance of fitness. The methods we use are based on old ideas, new research, creativity, anecdotal evidence and our own high-stakes practice. Our programming emphasizes relative strength, power-endurance, and endurance because in these areas we are expert.
Gym Jones is not a cozy place. There?s no AC, no comfortable spot to sit and there are no mirrors. Stressors are intentionally designed to cause discomfort and apprehension. Effort and pain may not be avoided. Physical and psychological breakdowns occur. The support of a like-minded group, dedicated to The Art of Suffering, provides a safety net. An individual will push harder and risk more in the company of trustworthy peers and that?s one reason the gym is not open to the public. Gym Jones is a private, invitation-only facility located in Utah.
The guys of 300 were trained by Mark Francis Twight at his exclusive "Gym Jones" en.wikipedia.org
and yes the trainings were not your regular weight based mr. universe type gym training, but a more un conventional high intensity one, but never the less very scientific based addressed to shape the men up to look like Spartans. See them train here "no pain, no gain, and no abs" .http://cravingideas.blogs.com/backinskinnyjeans/2007/03/how_the_actors_.html
So apparently it seems there is a bit of science inovolved. As per Gerald Butler he trained for 7 months for six hours a day, which i believe would be a combination of different exercises spread through out the day, each meant to address different area of the body/fitness. I guess one would have to become a member of Gym Jones or ask Mark Twight, what the hell he actually makes them do for those six hours a day :-)
