Six Pack Abs
I just wanted to know if anyone religiously followed circuit training and cardio to get six pack abs. Kindly share any info such as diet, workouts, and anything that would help me to reach my goal in 12 weeks starting from today. I am not a big fan of using supplements except whey protein and "The Ultimate Meal". Thanks.

Vermani78 - Thanks for the info. I am working out 3 days a week, and doing cardio for 2 days (45 mins on elliptical trainer). I play soccer tournaments, and so I am getting some extra cardio workouts as well. I am working on my abs at the end of my weight training for 20mins targeting all the 4 areas.
I am eating 6 meals a day. I believe that discipline, consistency, and hard work is the key to see results at the gym. I will post my results after 6 weeks.
Thanks.

I'm glad you asked a question aout ab workouts. Many people have a misconnection that you only need to work central abs in order to get results. Consider this, your torso is like an elipse, same goes for the entire midsection.
In order to effectively work the core, you need to work 4 areas, your upper abs, lower abs, obliques, and lower back. For abs, situps on a decline bench is effective, for lower abs, hang on a bar and do knee/leg pull ups. When working abs be sure to squeeze the muscle and flex it. For obliques broomstick twirls are effective, and for lower back hyper extentions. Stick to 3 sets for each exercise about 3 days a week.
Also, cardio is a big factor as well. Any type of cardio which helps is good, wheather it be a sport(basketball, soccer), swimming, eliptical, running, or a couple of rounds on the heavy bag. Whatever works for you.
Diet is a probabally the biggest factor. Stay away from fatty foods and carbonated beverages or basically anything with corn starch. Eat sensibly, don't over eat.
Anyhow, I hope some of the above answered some of your questions and good luck!
