Restaurant Suggestions


I'll be in TO for a few days and I need recommendations for a decent restaurant to entertain a few friends in Toronto; preferably non-ethnic, but must have halal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I went to Kara Mia last night, we had delicious gourmet Italian food, delicious steak & pasta, mmmm and the staff & owners are very friendly! www.karamia.ca

Thanks for the tip. When I moved out in 1989, halal restaurants, like Haley's comets were rare. Glad to see much has changed since. The San Francisco Bay Area has also gone through a similar transformation.. now there are way too many choices, but I wish someone would open up something more upscale and continental. If any of you are in the Bay Area, I'll return the favor. Thanks!!

I don't know about a nonethnic restaurant in TO, but use this link and input halal in the search box and you get a long list... think there's a halal swiss chalet listed

I like Zaffron. It has Iranian and Italian food!
