Questions for Obama...Part 1

After spending month's waiting for simple answers from the Obama campaign I decided to post my questions on Naseeb, just in case some of Obama's supporters are able to answer these questions.

The statements are taken directly from Obama's website: www.barackobama.com

Statements: Obama will reverse the politicization that has occurred in the Bush Administration's Department of Justice. He will put an end to the ideological litmus tests used to fill positions within the Civil Rights Division.

Questions: Will Obama fire people at the Department of Justice if he believes they were employed as part of a program of Politicization? How will Obama identify which employee was employed on merit and which was employed on political ideology. Will Obama exclude experienced, well educated, capable potential employees if he does not agree with their political ideology? What litmus test(s) are referenced in the above statement?

Statements: Obama will work to overturn the Supreme Court's recent ruling that curtails racial minorities' and women's ability to challenge pay discrimination. Obama will also pass the Fair Pay Act to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work.

Questions: The Supreme Court ruling was based on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Does Obama plan to overturn this section of the Civil Rights act? The Fair Pay Act in its current form only amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 and the 1963 Equal Pay Act, Why does Obama believe the 1964 civil rights act does not ensure women receive equal pay for equal work and the Fair Pay Act will ensure it?

Statements: Obama will strengthen federal hate crimes legislation and reinvigorate enforcement at the Department of Justice's Criminal Section.

Questions: Why does current legislation need strengthening? Has current legislation failed to provide justice for victims of crimes? If so does Obama have any examples of such failure?

Statements: Obama will sign into law his legislation that establishes harsh penalties for those who have engaged in voter fraud and provides voters who have been misinformed with accurate and full information so they can vote.

Questions: Why does current legislation need strengthening? Will new legislation allow people to choose between a paper ballot and an electronic voting machine? Can Obama give examples of situations where voters have been misinformed?

Statements: Obama will ban racial profiling by federal law enforcement agencies and provide federal incentives to state and local police departments to prohibit the practice.

Questions: Why would Obama ban racial profiling only by federal law enforcement and not the entire executive branch? Does Obama consider Affirmative Action programs to be examples of racial profiling? What specific incentives will he offer state and local police?donuts, money, a stronger taser? What law allows the President to offer incentives to state employees?
